Motorola One Macro with macro lens

Motorola India has started teasing its new smartphone with a macro lens ahead of launch this month. It says ‘it’s time to magnify them’ and this should be the One Macro that surfaced last week. After Blue color, Purple color version have also surfaced.

Redmi 8

Earlier: Redmi 8 with model number M1908C3IC got certified by TENAA in China last month which revealed its specifications. At the end of Redmi 8A online launch, Xiaomi India head and VP Manu Jain asks “But, What about the Redmi 8, weren’t we supposed to launch it today?” He gets a response saying that it’s for the next launch. May be we can expect the details about the Redmi Note 8 series at the Redmi 8 launch since those are also expected in October.

Microsoft Surface Earbuds true wireless earbuds with Office 365 integration

Microsoft at a hardware event in New York including new Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7 2-in-1, Surface Pro X 2-in-1, Surface Neo, and accessories. There were rumours on the development of Surface Earbuds earlier this year and today Microsoft has officially unveiled the new Surface Earbuds true wireless earbuds.

Microsoft Surface Earbuds features a secure design with intuitive touch and voice controls for music, calls and more. There are four individual anchor points lock the earbuds securely into place once they are positioned in your ears. The touch surface supports gesture like touch, tap, swipe and voice control music, calls and more. You can swipe up or down to change volume, swipe back or forward to change tracks, double-tap to pause music and make calls, or touch and hold to activate your personal digital assistant.

Microsoft Surface Duo Android smartphone

Along with Surface Neo, dual-screen device that runs Windows 10X, Microsoft also introduced Surface Duo, a new Surface smartphone that runs Android. It has two paper-thin 5.6-inch screens that unfold to 8.3-inch tablet. You can make phone calls and the 360° hinge lets you use it in a variety of modes, said Microsoft. The Surface Duo comes with Google Play Store and runs Microsoft Launcher.

The teaser video it also showed Project xCloud Xbox game streaming running on the dual-screen display.  In the future, developers will be able to leverage special APIs that detect when a game is streaming to a small-screen device, including foldable devices and bring up the necessary controls to make it work.

When folded out, the Surface Duo would gain touch commands for Project xCloud on the lower portion of the screen, creating an experience similar to that of a Nintendo 3DS.

Similar to the Surface Duo, the Surface Neo is also scheduled to go on sale during Holidays of 2020, which is November or December next year.


Microsoft Surface Pro X with Microsoft SQ1 processor and Surface Pro 7 with 10th Generation Intel Core processor

At a hardware event in New York, Microsoft today announced an array of devices including new Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7 2-in-1, Surface Pro X 2-in-1, Surface Neo, Surface Earbuds, and accessories. The Surface Pro 7 comes with upgraded Intel processor, the Surface Pro X comes with a new processor codesigned with Qualcomm and more.

Microsoft Surface Pro X

The new Microsoft Surface Pro X is a 2-in-1 device sporting a 13-inch edge-to-edge PixelSense Display with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels, 33% thinner bezels along with 10-point multitouch. It is powered by the new Microsoft SQ1 processor codesigned with Qualcomm, Adreno 685 iGPU, 8GB/16GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128/256/512GB SSD. It comes with the Surface Pen that has 4,096 levels of pressure, Tilt sensing, and 0.1mm precision. The keyboard includes pen docking for secure storage and charging for the new Slim Pen. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, Snapdragon X24 LTE modem, and up to Gigabit LTE Advanced Pro5 with nanoSIM and eSIM support. The battery life on the Pro X is claimed to be up to 13 hours.

It is now powered by a powerful 10th Generation Intel Core processor along with Intel Iris Plus / Intel UHD graphics. It features 4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128/256/512GB or 1TB SSD. It also comes with the Surface Pen that has 4,096 levels of pressure, Tilt sensing, and 0.1mm precision. Unlike the Surface Pro X, the Surface Pro 7 comes with a faster Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 LE technology and it also has a TPM 2.0 chip for enterprise security. The battery life on the Pro 7 is claimed to be up to 10.5 hours.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is priced starting at US$ 749 (Rs. 53,330 approx.) and Surface Pro X is priced starting at US$ 999 (Rs. 71,130 approx.). Surface Pro X will be available from November 5 with pre-orders starting today and the Surface Pro 7 goes up for pre-order today and will start shipping from October 22nd 2019.


Microsoft Surface Neo

Microsoft has officially introduced its new Surface Neo dual-screen device that have two 9-inch screens connected by a 360-degree full-friction hinge. This opens into a full-size 13-inch display with thinnest LCD in its class. Microsoft says that it has been built for productivity and runs on Windows 10X, a new OS for dual-screen devices.

“It’s built for productivity and multitasking like a true PC would be – running full productivity apps, with a removable keyboard and compatibility with Surface Pen and Bluetooth mouse,” said Microsoft.

It did not reveal any other specs or price. It will be available only during Holiday 2020, which is November or December next year.

Windows 10X

At the event Microsoft also announced Windows 10X for multi-posture dual-screen PCs. This will let you take notes on one screen while reviewing the full project proposal on the other while in transit; sit down at a table to write a thoughtful email on a hardware keyboard while waiting for lunch; and then watch a video, browse the web or read a book as you get back to your life.

Windows 10X is designed for new dual-screen PCs and not as an OS upgrade if you already own a PC, says Microsoft. It will be working with app developer ecosystem for custom apps.

ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo will be introducing Dual-Screen PCs running Windows 10X starting in the fall of 2020. The first wave of devices will vary in size, design and specs, and be powered by Intel.
